Robert Rosen is one of Australia’s foremost fashion and social photographers. Over four decades he attended glittering parties, concerts, fashion events and nightclubs in London, Paris, Sydney and Melbourne capturing the rich, famous and fabulous for the pages of local and international newspapers and magazines.
This exhibition draws on the Powerhouse museum’s extensive Robert Rosen archive along with images from the photographer’s personal records. It follows Rosen’s career from the streets, nightclubs and runways of London and Paris in the 1970s and 80s to Australia’s thriving social scene into the new millennium.
